*********
We offer our humble obeisance and blessings to all the wise souls who are waiting to receive wisdom from our platform.
We are going to talk about the topic we are going to talk about today from the questions of the students who have learned Jeevanmudhi Tavas of our Gurukul.

The question they asked: What kind of mood should a disciple be in when he comes to learn tricks from the guru? is.
Our single word for that is the position of ‘surrender’. The understanding of this surrender is different for each one. Surrender, the answer is one word – Surrender. That’s it. If you divide Saranakadhi (Surrender), you get Saran + Aa + Kadhi.

Saran means taking shelter, seeking refuge.
Aa means cow which means human life and soul.
Kadhi is not Adhogathi; Kathi means breath and that is light breath.

Do you know which is the only light-breathing life, dear ones? It is the Lord who is living in our lives. To that light-breathing Lord our human souls must take refuge; We should make his dwelling place the refuge of our souls. This position is Saranakadhi (Surrender) called Saran + Kadhi.
About this our Sarguru used to talk with us on Sathuragiri hill (Virudhunagar District, Tamil Nadu from the distance 25 kms) and tell us wisdom. Then came the talk of this surrender.

To us, “Do you understand what surrender is, my son?’’ He said.

This happened on the first Ekadasi day in January 1990. We remember well. The Guru says that it is very important not to eat food or drink water on Ekadasi. So we did not eat even water. But the feeling of hunger does not arise in us. I was awake not knowing what to do if I wanted to explain the surrender.

“What Shivanesa, answer me. What is surrender?” He said.

I said, “Guru is to surrender body, material, and spirit to someone and take refuge in yourself as destiny.”
He said, “Separate the word and tell the meaning.”

How do we know that? I just hit it. I said, “Guru, Surrender can be divided into Saran + Agudhi.” Guru is definitely going to plan. what to do If he doesn’t answer something, he doesn’t know how to leave. So I just gave the above answer.

Immediately the Guru said, “Dear Shivanesa, how did you answer correctly?’’ Wonderful, wonderful. He said, “I will tell you what Saran means and what Aguti means, so you can listen.’’

I don’t know how this man will leave us today. The answer is the same as the question. I was muttering ‘Shiva Shiva’ what are we going to do.
“Master, do I have as much wisdom as you? So please tell me the answer yourself.’’

“Okay, let’s talk. Listen well. The word ‘Saranagudhi’ itself got twisted and changed over time and became Surrender. You are right, my son. Surrender can be divided into Saran + Agudhi. Aguti means that in mantra homas, the food required for the magical deity is tied in a silk cloth and poured with ghee in the fire. It is taken by the tongues of Homa fire and taken to God Agni and any Homa to that deity. Similarly, if our surrender is to be like that, we must surrender ourselves completely to the fire of our life. “My son, none of our activities that are surrendered to the fire will ever reach the stage of surrender.’’ I said, “Then, Guru, when we reach the vital mass through penance and see the vital light face to face, will not this surrender be complete?’’

“You are very right Shivanesa. Yea, reach thy soul, and be drenched in that flood of light. Only then will you see the void within your space where I am and you are empty. A void is a void, my son. There is no darkness; There is no light. Aren’t you doing darkness penance without sleeping at night? It always takes you to a place where there is no rest. Jump into the restless place within you, son. Others will start to happen on their own. Do not do anything. Let nothing happen by itself and get used to witnessing, my son. Keeping you in Puranabhisheka Tapas is so that you can completely fill yourself with this surrender and the emptiness it gives, my son. So you become an empty flute right now.’’

But think about how we have understood Surrender till today, if there are all these things of wisdom that the philosophical theory says, my dear witnesses, elders, dear ones, and students.

Surrender is what you understand so far? Now what is the consonant? What is a lie? You will understand that. good Let’s take a look at Surrender in a bit more detail though.

We thought of giving this lecture for our dear students. We are happy to express it to the people of the world. Shouldn’t everyone observe complete surrender to their guru or creature or god, that’s why.

Not all of us have understood this surrender properly. Do you know the first thing we should remember about this surrender? It’s just that you can’t do this. We cannot do this surrender. We should understand this well and internalize it. Perhaps you can prevent this surrender if you wish. But you definitely can’t make it happen. Because in surrender your power can only ever be reactive. You can only prevent it. But you can never bring complete surrender in your life.

Surrender is not something you do. If you are doing it like that, it is not called surrender. Do you know the reason? Only one who surrenders is there. It is only with the sense of self that one seeks to do something called surrender, not in the absence of self. So a great realization, a great awareness of “I am not” is surrender. That is, the only surrender is the introspection of the non-conscious eyes of the self. Surrender is not an action or an action. It is a selfless – mindless – motionless bounce of awareness. Do you know what awareness is? Awareness is the sensitivity of the eyes. Both the eyes should be in a healthy state. That’s when the surrender begins to blossom. All this should happen internally and externally.

At first the phrases I and you are seen as a false existence. If you think you are separate from the rest, can you accept that as true? Tell me. That being said, it can be completely false. Can anyone say that I live apart from this universe and remain so? If we stand apart from the universe like that, we cannot use the powers of the universe and will die.

If a tree is uprooted from this earth, the tree will be separate from the earth. But can it be alive?
If the sun is not wanted and it is separated from the earth, will all the life of the world survive? It will die.
The roots of the tree cannot be separated from the water. If separated, the roots will not survive.

If trees disappear from this earth, this world will become hell. Wood can make a hell of a mess. But trees don’t have minds either, don’t they? However, they are eternally absorbing the panchabhuta (five elements) forces of the Universe. It is because trees have always surrendered to this universe. The trees surrender without mind. Surrendered means that the trees are never separated from nature. It is this surrender that keeps the trees alive in this world. Like these trees, all the birds, mountains, rivers, seas, planets and constellations merge with this nature and soak in surrender. The reason is that all these do not have the consciousness and mind of ‘I’.

Only man exists with the feelings of ‘I’ which is self-conscious and enduring. It is because of this self-awareness that man has the power to acquire Panchabhuta Shakti (power of five elements). If these self-consciousnesses are formed constructively, it is good, but if it becomes the cause of destruction, this man’s life will be in hell. Heaven and hell are in our hands. The right to choose it is not in the self-consciousness of man as ‘I’.

First we need to understand these feelings of ‘I’ very well. One should try to understand that the sense of ‘I’ is actually something that is not there. It should be understood that no human being is separate. Neither I nor you, sages, siddhas, sages, rishis, Buddha or Jesus are separated. We are all one with this nature. If we forget this, we approach surrender with the feeling that we are alone.

After the ‘I’ comes there is no surrender. This self-consciousness of ‘I’ means that we wander around carrying our consciousness on our backs in our brains. You should know that first. We know this very well. How about you? Your problem is that you don’t know it. The difference is knowing it. There is never variation in the state of existence. We are still separated from nature because we still hold onto the foolishness of what I know.
If we were thinking, “I will surrender, now I am going to surrender’’, there will be no surrender; There will be his tendency to be me. Will ego surrender? So it won’t happen.

If you think I’m the only one who broke up, face the fact that I didn’t break up like that one day, not one day. Then the nose of his determination will be broken, by surrender. So, the question of how to surrender is now running through each of your minds.

The truth is that when you surrender, there will be no one there. If one surrenders, it means that he will not be there. As long as he is there, there will be no surrender. Surrender itself comes and drinks when the sense of self becomes empty and becomes an empty cup.

Surrender is not only not here, it is nowhere; Not seen. When you look within yourself, you will never find surrender. This is the height of wonder. At that moment Surrender will settle there. Whenever you lose sight of surrender, at that moment surrender blossoms within you and begins to smell.
That is why Yam insists again and again that we can never surrender. If you do that, it will be a false thing. All lies, hoaxes and earthquakes arise from lies. Then you will become a liar. Truth does not bloom in lies. If you have been trying to surrender, you will keep building up lies upon lies.

Don’t forget it’s curmudgeon. We are already blowing through so much suffering due to the crores of karmas we have done. If body of Karma is to be conquered, there must not be even an atom of falsehood. Here we go completely, shall we not, dear students. How are we going to defeat the remaining eleven body Tatwas in our body when we cannot defeat body of Karma itself? Are your eyes and head spinning? The karmas that are left behind are few and far between. All should be burnt. Ready to ignite; Are you ready to burn yourself out? Need an answer.
You may ask, “So, my surrender is not the goal, Guru.”

The consciousness that I am is always directed towards the goal – the goal. But since there is ‘I’ in it, its desires are limitless. There is this ‘I’ which, whenever it aims at something, aims at doing something and attaining it. So, it is always looking for more and more. It will content itself with these thoughts of excess.

For example, if you have money, do you know what this ‘I’ will do? There will be a desire for more money. If you have a house, it will start flapping its wings that it would be better if it was a bigger house. A small garden can be thought of as much better if it has a forest and a larger area. So this ‘I’ is always wanting more, thinking more deliberately. The reason is that this ‘I’ consciousness is always unsatisfied and hungry. Do you know, students, what is the problem with this sense of ‘I’? It is one yearning for the past and the other dreaming and winging the future. It never stays in the present. This is the problem of ‘I’.

What is this goal? “Wherever I set out to go, I must go. Our goal has always been the desire to go, be me, and be me. The egoistic sense of ‘I’ never knows how to live in the present. It does not try to live like that.

The present is always in awareness. That is also true. Truth and lies never meet. The past is false. It won’t come back. Because the past tense is a time. But now it is not. Gone, gone. We don’t need the past, whether it is true or false.

If you live in the past, the present will be a lie. Since this ‘I’ consciousness is always thinking of inanimate things and living in the past, it must remain a graveyard. There are only corpses and lifeless bones. Don’t forget this.

So the ‘I’ consciousness tries to live in the future. The future is yet to come. It may be a dream; It can also be imaginary; It can be surprising. The reason is that this ‘I’ fits well in the past as well as in the present. Why, then, when the Self is false, why does the false past and future not coincide with each other? Give it some thought. If we allow the sense of ‘I’ to exist, this ‘I’ will disappear immediately. Presence is the present. That is why we insist that you always stay here in this moment. If you are simply in this moment, I would say that you are wise and wise. You must not be within yourself in this moment, that is all.

Where there is no ego, there is no past; No future. Only the present blossoms.

So this instant only lasts forever. Only then will you not be there. And stay without you. Then suddenly a complete peace will begin to flow within you. After this happens, you will have only deep peace inside and outside. Then you don’t need to think about surrender. Then there is no need for you to surrender. With that attitude you will clearly see that the sense of ‘I’ is gone within you. Complete surrender is to be without the sense of ‘I’. This is the absolute truth of philosophical theory.

So doesn’t the question of one’s need to surrender become irrelevant? The question of surrendering to the Lord or the Guru also disappears there. That understanding that “I” is not within me is your best introspective surrender.

Whenever we find within ourselves that “I am not”, “I am a void”, “I am a void”, “I am an empty cup”, “I am an empty flute with seven holes”, then surrender begins to grow within us. The honey flower of surrender blossoms in the tree of emptiness. Our job is to plant a tree. We do not create or make the flower, fruit or fruit of the Ammar tree. Just put a tree called emptiness. The flower, pod and fruit of surrender (saranagathi) grows and blossoms and ripens by itself. That is why I am reminding you again – that it should not be aimed at a target. The sense of ‘I’ always has a goal.

Therefore, before what we say, look at the surrender, look at yourself in the surrender, and think about it forever. I’m just saying that if you start thinking about it, you’ll miss it. Thinking and thinking are always in the past and in the future. Whenever time enters you, you are alone and separated. It is a false life. A false life will always lead to downfall.

So let it be right here, right now. Then suddenly you will be amazed to find the real you there. You will find yourself there and enjoy yourself. And you are not going anywhere; It doesn’t come from anywhere. You are always here, in this place. Here is the present tense. There is only room here. Now there is only one thing to say. At that present moment, surrender is ongoing.

Many of you are talking and thinking, “I want to attain surrender for the liberation of the soul, so I am taking care of myself about it.” Whenever I say “I am watching”, that “I” consciousness starts to intervene. Causality can be an action again. There is an attempt by you. Do you notice there? So who is doing that care? You are taking care of yourself there.

So rest and be relaxed. It is only when you are relaxed and relaxed that it begins to occur that there is nothing here to notice. Because the observer will not be there, you will be absent from duality and witnessing. It is a positive state of awareness. In this practice of witnessing there will be no sufferings, variations, deceptions, fights and disputes. This observation can be very irritating. So here it is very important that you stay relaxed, relaxed and relaxed. When you are just there doing nothing, a sense of ecstasy begins to bloom within you. It will bring spring within you. Doesn’t grass grow automatically when spring comes?

This position has been the approach and doctrine of Buddhism as a whole. Whatever you do, for example observing, thinking, surrendering, will increase the doer. You will not have to do anything for your part. Not necessary. Simply let two things take their course and be empty.

1. Don’t make any effort to cope.

2. Don’t make any effort to implement skills.

Let the breeze pass you by.

Let the sun shine in the Universe.

Let your life dance with that.

Let even death come and dance its dance.

Its name is asceticism. This is the meaning of asceticism. It is not something you do. But asceticism is the name given to abandoning all activities by seeing the futility of what you do. So give up the meaningless activities. Asceticism blossoms by itself.
Who are you to do that? You are just a wave in this great ocean. Once you will be here; Next time you would have changed the route. So why bother watching these waves?! Waves come and go. Reappears and disappears.

Meanwhile why are you ruining your life by being rigid with anxiety during these small breaks?
Why do you start carrying all the burdens on your shoulders?
Why are you carrying rocks in your flowery heart for no reason?

So, in this instant, you will attain the liberation of the soul. Get over the sense of ‘I’. Then the soul itself attains liberation. You cannot give liberation to the soul at all. If so, you can be a power greater than your soul. Are you greater than the soul? Well think about it. When you are here in this moment, not only you but also your soul will liberate itself. Freedom is not given by others; If the stalk is removed from the head, the head will be freed from itself. We need to get rid of the animal, bond from our head. That is liberation.

Let every event of life happen by itself. Let life always be an event that happens by itself. Only then will there be joy and happiness. Because there is enjoyment, then there will be no disappointment or failure. Only then will you reach the point where you never expect anything.

Whatever happens to you, let it happen, it’s good. Welcome. There is no victory; No failure. The game will be abandoned there. Let the sun come early in the morning and wake you up; Let the park sweep you away; May the elixir-shaped moon come in the evening and give you elixir arts and sing you lullabies. Then you will fall asleep. When you are hungry, you go to eat. Thus let every event come and go. So eat when you are hungry.

When sleep comes, go to sleep. This is what the bramagnani (wise man of brahma) said that you don’t have to go and do any event. Never be the do-it-yourselves. There is no one who does it here. When you are hungry, it is the feeling of hunger that makes you eat. When we are thirsty, we go in search of water, but it is the feeling of thirst that makes us go to the place of water. Here it is hunger and thirst that move, and the hungry and thirsty do not move. Realizing this, surrender will happen there by itself.

Actually when you see a dancer, there is no dancer. There is only dance.

When you see a river, there is no river. There is only current.

When you see a tree there is no tree. There is only tree growth.

If you see someone laughing, there is no one laughing. There is only laughter.

Enlightenment is not a goal to be attained. It is this ordinary life around you that it is a very ordinary life. When you don’t struggle, this ordinary life of yours is extraordinarily beautiful. Accept this simple, ordinary life wholeheartedly. Give up being a doer forever. Let go of the one who continues. Don’t become a quitter. Then you will find yourself blossoming and surrendering in your true self. The sense of ‘I’ will disappear completely.

So when you achieve this surrender, feelings of emptiness will bloom and smell inside you. Tell me, don’t you want to fully know the secret of that great Nirvana? We are pleased to inform you that we will conclude this talk by saying that we must come and discuss this on Thursday night next week.
